A standout artist from the off, Reigno has released a single called ‘Three Fours’, taken from his upcoming album ‘Content With Crazy’. The track regards introspection and comes with a video full of disorientating visuals, representing the artist’s inner turmoil. Despite the song being short, it is a brilliant introduction to Reigno. A clean production, brilliant flow and a cinematic experience leaves a lasting impression.
The whole song is just crisp and really well put together. Produced by Reigno himself, you can really feel the stakes coming through; the piano providing bass and top melodies that rise higher and higher, matching the flow of the rap itself, line up to make a great hip-hop track that I will not be forgetting any time soon.
After going through the tragic death of one of his best friends and wrestling with depression and anxiety, Reigno feels that the societal view of artists in his genre is short sighted, and that rap artists in fact deal with important topics.
“Nowadays, I feel like your ‘average rapper’ is seen as a shallow/superficial person that only thinks and talks about money, drugs etc. I want to be able to change this view and show that Hip Hop is more than that. Show that a rapper can be sincere and humane”.
Reigno is an artist to watch out for, with some real originality to his music and a promising future ahead.
